How coaches manage to position themselves with AI coaching.
With the increasing use of digital tools in the coaching business, there is a growing individual need to enhance one's market impact. Urgent questions arise:
What is my uniqueness as a coach?
What is valuable and important to me?
What is the purpose of my actions?
How can I successfully position myself in the market?
The digital revolution holds many opportunities. Can I, as a coach, leverage these opportunities while remaining authentic and human? YES - because right now, we can combine high technology and human qualities. The when, what, who and how must be clarified. Because one thing is clear: clients in the coaching sector will turn to AI options. After all, increasing time and cost efficiency are often the primary criteria in decision-making. Creative solutions have enormous potential, as coachees need emotional impulses that touch and move them. As the economy accelerates, it becomes even more important for coaching sessions to decelerate and lead into deep reflection.
Combining AI & Art Coaching with Blended Coaching
Symbolon AG has developed an AI-supported self-coaching. Evaluated by the Center for Better Work at the University of Hamburg from December 2023 to May 2024, it has yielded astonishing results! The study shows that effective coaching with AI is indeed possible. The combination of art and AI is deemed particularly effective.
Here’s a brief overview how it works: Imagine you are looking at a piece of art featuring 14 African animals. You are invited by an AI-supported chatbot to select which animal matches your current challenge and which matches the potential solution. Let's say you choose the cheetah for the challenge and the giraffe for the solution. You will then be guided to immerse yourself in the mindset of these two animals. You’ll reflect on what the cheetah might think and feel and how this relates to your challenge. Next, the AI will ask you what the giraffe, symbolizing your solution, would think about the situation and how it would handle it. Through this playful process, you gain insights that might not have been immediately apparent. You connect these insights with your work situation and draw conclusions. You’ll likely be surprised at the results you can achieve from reflecting with the cheetah and the giraffe, and how solutions emerge. Your perspective will be expanded and thus transformed. Simple yet brilliant.
You might have concerns about the security of AI. These concerns are valid. That’s why it's crucial to distinguish which type of AI programming is used in coaching tools. The Symbolon AI solution operates in a secure environment and is not publicly available on the web. The AI chatbot can only use the Symbolon questioning technique. Every possible question and answer is programmed and evaluated. Coachees leave no personal traces or data. The program is hosted by the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI), adhering to the highest European data protection standards. At the end of the approximately 55-minute self-coaching session, the coachee can download a 7-page PDF summarizing the session. Based on these results and the coachee's insights, coaching with a trained coach can provide further in-depth support.
We Coaches are Helping to Shape the Future!
There is still a place for us coaches, even with artificial intelligence and digital platforms. However, increasingly, that place will depend on our ability to integrate these worlds. The revolution has already happened. Our clients are evaluating tools and solutions and implementing them. Let’s move forward with courage and seize these opportunities. We are at an exciting turning point that makes our lives easier and leads us towards the wonderful vision of "Coaching for All"!
